Cons
Hostile environment. This might only be my experience in my group, but it seems like in-fighting and office politics is the norm. Personal accomplishments are hardly noted unless you actively market yourself. Expectations, roles and responsibilities were never fully clarified, which is overlooked until there is a problem, in which case it is pushed to the workers rather than management. Multiple resources will be assigned to the same or similar roles with some being provided work, and others left in the dark with nothing to accomplish. Despite positive encouragement from Management, layoffs are frequent. Some even occurring within a few short months of each other while everything appears optimistic.
