Pros

Great benefits package, free banking, employee share purchase plan, job opportunities across Canada, 3 weeks vacation

Cons

Incompetent management, lack of respect for employees, lack of coaching for professional growth, advancement usually based on branch needs/politics rather than skills of individuals, bonuses are very low $1200-$1700 on a $36k salary (compared to jobs of equal responsibilities at other companies), complaints are not taken seriously, many individuals employed at cibc have been employees for 20 years+ in the same position and are not happy with their jobs - it is apparent and makes it a negative atmosphere to work in.
