Pros

CIBC has many great employees and clients. The CIBC brand holds solid history in Canada.

Cons

Unfortunately the leaders in CIBC have a continued history of lack of respect for employees. This is often demonstrated by the non existent training given to employees,as well as the extensive overtime that is still largely donated by an employee. The unreasonable sales targets assigned through a Head Office model often lead to year over non achievement which then leads to non payment of bonuses and low performance ratings including for long tenured valuable employees who have solid work ethics who go above and beyond to serve clients and endeavor to achieve individually assigned targets.

Pros

Above average pay in comparison to its peer groups Good work-life balance, additional attractive benefits Easy job to learn and master Good location, all types of transportation are available Incentive based pat scheme

Cons

A lot of repetitive call types, becomes boring and uneventful Management is very micro-managed, treat employees literally like children that need to be monitored consistently All the effort it takes to generate sales, revenues for the bank, little reward in return( bonuses) Difficult to advance within, unless you know someone in a higher grade level position, in which you may be referred

Pros

- You can learn alot from the people around you in IT - Hours are decent, no one expects too much from you - It's a decent place to work.

Cons

- My manager shouldn't have ever been hired to manage people. But she would have been amazing at managing just a process - Compared to other companies, CIBC doesn't pay very well for annual salar, even though they continually tell you how lucky you are to get paid "so much"
