Pros

Great perks and opportunities for advancement even if at least in lateral departments. As a large corporate there are numerous other opportunities to discover.

Cons

There is little to no room for autonomy or creativity and management was completely disengaged and locked into a silo amongst themselves.

Pros

Don't necessarily have to leave the company to find new jobs progress in expertise and career (which you often have to do in smaller companies). Solid benefits package; reasonable termination package.

Cons

Particularly mediocre culture of late; however, there are always bright lights, thank goodness. Very few make it to retirement...CIBC known on the street for constant downsizing...not inspiring for those who are the "survivors".

technology is not up to date; some times help less to take care of customer due to system deficiencies.Would like more clear processes.
