It is a wholesome corporation that is trying hard to increase market share and results. It is a respectable company and makes employees proud to work for them,

Cons

Career advancement is not made easy nor encouraged. CIBC prefers to keep employees at current positions rather than help them advance onto other positions or departments.

Flexible part time hours. Lots of locations to work. Good exposure to different kinds of attitudes. Helps give a basic understanding of banking world.

Cons

Management play(ed) favorites. Not flexible for time off [for studies] Company is not proactive in developing talent Company is bad at retention of student employees (I now work at RBCCM)
