Pros

All the pointers mentioned below are with the view point of an international student: - Good office environment job - Lot to learn about Canadian financial regulations and overall market - Good place to learn communicating with Canadian customers - Brand value of CIBC on your CV - Pay rate of CAD 22.5 / hour, which is much better than what you can get as a student at other employers - Benefits such as medical insurance, CPP contributions, life insurance, dental insurance, share purchase plan, etc. There's option of interest free loan of CAD 5000k but people on study permit can't avail it

Cons

- Its not the bank which has cons but the customers. Since customers wait in a que before coming to you, sometimes they become impatient and aggressive. However, your manager would always be there if someone misbehaves - There are some inefficiencies in the banks' SOPs for simple things like booking appointments, high-value transactions, etc. which irritates customers and they may blast on you
