Pros

Former Trammell Crow leaders are still present.

Cons

CBRE does not seem to develop strong change management plans although their strategy has been heavy on acquistions.

Pros

The opportunities for exposure to multiple corporate accounts where CBRE contracts services allows the employee to expand on experiences, professional growth, and builds adaptability.

Cons

The company is a corporation -- if you want to work for a large corp this review is not applicable -- where employees are another number in the system. The requirements for many processes effecting work satisfaction and professional growth are directed from headquarters which has a cookie-cutter style, with little room to adjust to different team styles.

Pros

This company used to be an amazing place to work. Great people, amazing atmosphere, water, drinks, snacks, coffee, beautiful fun environment. And then the recession hit.

Cons

However, over the years through mergers and the recent downturn, this company has come to think of it's very employees as the enemy. This year, the insurance deductible went up from $250 to $5,000 for the best possible plan. The commission splits were changed because the company was too top heavy with management. Speaking of management, many are retained at the company due to politics and not due to stellar work performance. One particular manager has been able to hire her entire family, son, daughter and niece, along with finding work for a son-in-law who was let go of by three teams in two years! They rush to point out faults but never congratulate you when a big deal closes. They make you spend lots of time on things that will never produce revenue or help the company.
