      Management Needs An Overhaul...

      Pros

      Decent Benefits. Opportunity to work from home, if your role at company can be done virtually. Many colleagues have strong background in their industry area.

      Cons

      Compensation is below market across the US. Work-life balance is non-existent. Decisions made to promote people into Management roles seem to be based on their ability to kiss up, not on their skill sets. Senior management and HR professionals do not proactively listen to legitimate concerns from employees. Extremely long work hours (countless nights and weekends). Limited bonus and/or other compensation or even thanks for jobs well done. Lack of growth potential, unless you are extremely political, cutthroat, and NOT a team player. There are not many people to look up to in senior management. You almost feel sorry for the management and senior management team, as they do seem to have much of a life not related to work.

      Pros

      If you worked hard, you were always allowed to take time off. Firm yet fair. If client allowed and paid for it, personal development was encouraged.

      Cons

      Working at a client site made it seem like you were more of an employee of the client than of CBRE. If another client site was not hiring, then it was impossible to get off the account While under contract to the client, there was no expectation of being retained
