The current management approach does little to motivate or reward strong performance. I often find myself addressing issues stemming from senior management decisions or inaction, rather than focusing on proactive work.
Excessive bureaucracy and internal hurdles make it difficult to deliver effectively. As a result, there is limited scope for innovation or creativity, which is frustrating given my desire to contribute more.
A senior manager advised that it is typically expected of coordinators to be in the role for at least a year or two before they would think about promoting. Regardless of skill set... So if you want a promotion sooner, it's seems the only option is to leave.
