      Good Pay/Benefits, No Opportunity for Growth

      Pros

      As an admin assistant in the San Francisco area, the pay was decent, and the benefits were fairly comprehensive. They also provided free commuters checks which were a tremendous help since I was commuting daily from the East Bay.

      Cons

      Absolutely no room for growth as an admin. We never received a raise for cost-of-living increase, (due to the economy) and it was often feast or famine as far as consistent work. More often than not I had to find things to do to keep myself busy.

      Direct manager is very flexilble Prestige with name

      Cons

      Management only supports those who want to go into brokerage Not much advancment opportunites outside of becoming a sales professional Support staff is treated with little to no respect from the brokers and upper management

      Terrible Waste of Three Years

      Pros

      Big company, seems impressive to others, global brand, opportunity to relocate within the company easily, pro-environmental policies.

      Cons

      Huge workload. You have to answer to every broker as though they were your supervisor - not fun having 35 bosses at once who all want THEIR project done first. I was doing all the work of a position two or three promotions above me with no recognition or compensation. There was no supervision by the Operations Manager, who really didn't seem to do anything at all.
