      Short-sighted decisions by ecocentric management

      Pros

      Some office locations have a collaborative and fun environment with hard-working, dedicated colleagues on the front-line. But ultimately, the C-suite drives a cut-throat and dishonest culture that drives out the best talent.

      Cons

      Top management are so focused on their own bonuses and short-term share values, that they fail to see the big picture and are unable to achieve real impact. They claim to be a world-class organization, but act like a rivaling bunch of school boys arguing over turf. Lip-service only to ethics and diversity.

      Pros

      There seems to be a lot of emphasis on when you're ready to move forward and upward with a different position. They pride themselves in retaining talent and the interviewing process was lengthy.

      Cons

      Expected to be available at any time and adjust to last minute requests for quick turnover tasks. Most people are emailing at 10pm and/or 5am.

      Good Company and Culture, Poor Compensation

      Pros

      Lots of young, driven coworkers. Easy to make friends throughout the company. Beautiful office and good technology resources. Open work environment helps break the monotony.

      Cons

      Poor compensation, compared to other firms. Expectation to work nights, weekends but will refuse to pay overtime for some positions (Valuation Associate). Lack of freedom, discouraged from taking vacation time.
