Pros

Nice office in downtown Baltimore

Cons

White collar sweat shop. Very cliquey. Everyone works in teams. Some teams treat their coordinators great, include them in commissions, others don't. Totally unfair work environment. Came to CBRE thru an acquisition. Seniority made no difference. Had 21 years of service with the company that was acquired. Stayed with CB for another 2 years and was laid off. People don't matter. Would not recommend to anyone.

Pros

-The people that you work with - Get to work from home 3 days out of the week - Management is pretty flexible. CBRE as a hole is a great organization

Cons

- Cut backs on budgets since we are seen as a cost. - small raises - No promotions, not a place to build a career at this point. - Really heard to transfer out of the department. - Favoritism is big in this group, most of the managers came from a different organization and brought their own staff with them.

Pros

Hours but nothing else in my book unfortunately

Cons

I was one of those people who read all the reviews and still said "oh those people must have been negative and weren't good at their job". I was convinced the job would be what "I" make it. Not the case. Management is clueless and has no desire to learn. There is NO- I REPEAT NO- training whatsoever. If you're lucky you will shadow someone for a couple of days and then you're on your own. That would be okay if there was any type of structure to CBRE's accounting processes but there is not. They do not have a uniform structure for their financial reports, filing of various clients' documentation, etc. Everything is all over the place and management could care less because they don't do anything but sign off on what the accountants do. Management doesn't actually have to know how to do the work of the accountants they supervise at all.
