Great place to work for a few years, very tough quality of life as you move up

Pros

The first 2 years here are incredible. The learning is so fast and furious that you should almost have to pay tuition. The quality of the people is incredible, the case opportunities are fascinating, and the benefits are second-to-none.

Cons

Unfortunately, as you move up in the organization the hours get longer, the expectations higher, and the challenge to make it a sustainable career insurmountable. The constant travel, heavy hours (routinely 70+ hrs/wk) and non-stop, always-on nature of the job make it very tough.

Career Advancement -- You pretty much get exposures and open your door to many different industries by just being a consultant. This give you plenty of opportunities to dip your feet in to see what you like and if you'd like to work a particular industry over long term.

Cons

Sometimes you get staffed on a project that you absolutely have no interest in. I felt uncomfortable at times having to give advices/acting as a subject matter expert when I know by heart that I don't really know a thing about it.
