Pros

Not much to say here.

Cons

- office in an extremely rural location (Knutsford) which isn’t accessible to a lot of people by train or bus, but still management forces people to come in twice a week - due to office being rural it is not a good place for young people or grads as you will be driving to work and no socials afterward. Your early career experience will suffer really badly here - pay is below industry standards for software engineers - very difficult to get promoted - very outdated technology used compared to industry standards - too much controlling. Cannot even watch tech videos on YouTube - very hard to even get access to anything needed. Mainly because there are massive teams segmented and need their approval - a lot of red tape for even a small thing. Makes life hell - no funded tech training or certifications. No budget for this. No professional development days. No focus on upskilling - really toxic sexist people being promoted. Directors protect these people.
