Good starting place and to hang around for 2-3years but...

Pros

Young, vibrant workforce. Constantly growing. Management spends (sometimes needlessly) on working environment improvement e.g. LCD TVs, new deli.

Cons

Pays new hires better than current staff (even though current staff are more experienced). No objective promotion criteria - based on management's liking esp in the back office.

An organisation full of talented people, who respect and appreciates one another for who they are. One of the least political places to work in within the financial sector.

Cons

Some interesting choice of hires for senior management. They are very strong leaders in place, but some choices are far from desirable.

opportunities to get lots of responsibilities and exposure to clients (I was meeting with company managements and large hedge fund clients with 2 months I joined)

Cons

the management teams are exceptionally talented and knowledgeable industry analyst that do not have enough time to manage and lead as managers rather than industry experts
