      Very good firm, but employees are not treated well and comp is below market

      Pros

      great reputation, respected management team, leadership in the industry, drive for excellence, prudent, well managed

      Cons

      Does not promote from within, poor pay once you are working for the firm, looks to hire from the outside, frequently lets go of long-term contributors in place of cheaper staff, does not treat foreign workers well.

      Nice offices the people were friendly compensation was good

      Location is not good management are not competent rumor mill compensation was spotty, higher ups get it all

      More bureaucracy than any other organization that I have worked for.

      Pros

      - Great name to have on resume - Nice benefits package (although new employees and ex-Lehman are not offered pension) - Reasonable work/life balance - for an investment bank

      Cons

      - Compensation, bonuses - instead of a raise we are given "additional fixed payment", and that is considered bonus. It's complete double-talk. Either pay bonuses or give raises or both. But don't call a payment both a bonus and a raise.
