In BTCI, Barclays testing services is the worst department. Don't ever join specially if you are fresher. They will hire you and put u in a team managed by developers and their manager. in this way you will be controlled by not only your manager, but also by developers manager and even by developer. and developer give no respect to testers. And the notice period oh my GOD it is 3 months and they will never leave u early even if no work (i have seen those dark days). And the manager in testing department knows nothing just to pull the data from its resource about testing , they can't even talk straight with development management. People will help just in the start (for boys) and for girls they will always help (Pathetic) Development mgt have their parties and all that and testing mgt have their own and no one invite each other, in this way resource like us hangs in between and can't do anything.

It shows that they always opt for the cheapest option possible. It is easy to move up, but they don't compensate you for the extra work load you are taking on. Moves that at any other bank would be considered a promotion are called lateral moves here in order to avoid paying you what the work is worth.
