      Pros

      High Profile name for your CV, reasonable pay, nice office

      Cons

      Welcome to the planet Barclays. Don't expect to do anything without express permission (but you're not allowed to actually speak to that person). Decision making is only for the C-suite, not the minion. Spend half your week in meetings, but you must have prepared and shared what they're still calling "papers" in advance of every meeting. (Says it all). An energy suck. Don't go there.

      Pros

      Some good people to work with as with any job. Made some great friends and the work was interesting at first.

      Cons

      A LOT of people I would never want to see ever again. Environment is exactly like secondary school, very childish. And the childish behaviour and favouritism from all managers is encouraged by senior Management. Lack of any support and total disregard for any constructive feedback given. No opportunities for progression even though this was stated during interview. Maximum one promotion opportunity per year in a department of 150 meant that people with the right friends would always be considered over the employees who did more work. It is a classic office environment in that way.

      -> Great work-life balance --> Probably the best bonus and hike percentage. --> New office is on par with offices like google and youtube. Amazin food and great transport facility. --> If you are looking for "Company for life" kind of situation. Look no further

      Cons

      --> Monotonous work --> Probably would never get a chance to work on anything cutting edge --> Still using legacy software and technology --> Super chill environment. Sometimes that's not a good thing.
