Pros

Job security, it's harder to get fired than hired. Ability to move about the business as it's so large.

Cons

Performance management, the HR team and senior team just can't get this right, the company (TSO) led by Clive Selly, struggles to make decisions, and doesn't stick to its plans. The 3rd tier management are square pegs in round holes, techie managers in leadership positions and vice versa. This has come about due to perpetual reorganisations, most not needed and when three are synergies they're ignored. My biggest issue is the "EGO" culture in the middle and senior management team, they are not working as a team for BT group, they're just making themselves look less bad than their peers, which gives a false sense of success. You guys know who you are and you should be ashamed.

Pros

1) Good package. 2) Nice gift and celebrations. 3) Office is at good location

Cons

Everything else. Where shall I start 1) India division is a service based company like Infy, TCS. So if you are used to the culture, you can join otherwise big no no. 2) Not for hardcore technical people. If you can talk well and prepare nice PPTs, this is the place for you. 3) Regionalism runs amok. 4) And get ready to get bullied for next several months after you join. And the list goes on.

Pros

Brand Name of British Telecommunication Plc

Cons

Uncountable Cons. SOC Manager always take decision under influence of the most senior employee, in which one is complete black listed to work in his last 2-3 employer because of being extremely bad professional and eccentric and still is. Real talent of industry doesn't like to join BT after hearing his name. This most senior employee also hold the record of rejecting most of the great talent because of personal issues. And funny part is that He has issues with almost everyone in NCR. He made a virtual persona around that, he knows everything technical, fact should be asked from real technical people, who said, "BT SOC manager doesn't know anything about security , hence he doesn't know anything about this guy. "
