Pros

It's a good place to bridge the gap between the ISP and financial services world for networking technologies. People are friendly, helpful and quite smart. Management are very supportive when you need time off.

Cons

Some of the work can feel quite repetitive - doing the same thing day in and day out. BT have also made a mess of integrating the Radianz organisation - it's still not clear what direction staff can go in the wider organisation. Contractors form a major part of many teams, and they often don't know whether or not they will be renewed which causes issues every few weeks for the permanent staff who don't know whether or not they will be dealing with a new person in a couple of weeks.

Pros

sick pay for 6 months

Cons

You cant say anything with out it coming back and biting you, it is not safe to speak up within bt although bt bang on about equality and how safe it is to speak out i and many others know this is complete rubbish and if you say something against the grain you are more or less forced out of the company

Pros

The company actively encourages home working. Although a large percentage of my time is spent delivering training at sites across the UK when I am designing or developing training packages I can work from home. No commuting takes an average 2 hours off my working day and saves me about £120 per month.

Cons

The company is permanently downsizing in the UK. Senior management always seem to be playing schoolboy football. The flavour of the month is relentlessly chased until someone achieves their bonus, then it's on to the next target. Internal promotion is now rare as the senior managers seem to think they can only improve the company by attracting new blood. This was definitely true a few years ago but the reverse has started happening now with a lack of stability in structure and direction.
