Pros

The salary is decent I suppose. The team dinners are good. And that is just about all I can say that is good about working here.

Cons

Employees are expected to work on anything and everything. It doesn't really matter if the work aligns to their skill set or not. Blatant lies about the work during interviews. In-sourced projects are really really bad with most of them just having the work of taking over the mess the vendors have created. The in-sourcing vendor employee to BT employee ratio is about 3:1. So one BT employee replaces around 3-4 vendor employees. Too much process to work with in order to do any design/development. Expectations are too high with many people working during their vacations. Line manager is never satisfied and wants people to keep taking more work. Really bad recognition system. The people who make a lot of noise and take credit for other people's work are the best performers. A huge disconnect between what the immediate line manager expects and what the higher ups in UK expect. Line manager does not want to listen to any problems that you might be having. Just wants the work done. There is a lot of fancy managerial talk giving lip-service about career growth and learning plans and blah blah but in the end it is made sure that you are loaded with work to about 2 times your capacity so that you don't have time to do any of those things. No infrastructure at all. There's no food available in the cafeteria and there's no transportation. Work from home is available for only one day in a month.
