Pros

Flexible working hours and location Excellent work-life balance (Depends on manager) Friendly colleagues and a supportive work environment (within the same team) Decent MacBook provided It's perfectly okay to keep a low profile and still do well here

Cons

If you care about your career progression, avoid this place. Here's why: Below-market compensation: Salaries are significantly under market average. Even at the upper end bands, you're likely to earn less than industry-standard rates for mid-level roles elsewhere. Lack of investment in engineering: There's minimal support for proper tooling, modern dev environments, or AI productivity tools, which severely impacts efficiency. Heavy internal politics: Decision-making is often driven by politics rather than logic or impact, making it difficult to get meaningful work done. Unclear direction: Objectives are poorly defined, even at the leadership level. Priorities shift constantly, with no clear long-term strategy. Blame culture: Raising valid issues is often met with resistance or personal risk, rather than collaborative problem-solving. As a result, many people keep their heads down to avoid being targeted. No recognition for performance: There's little incentive to go above and beyond. Those who do the bare minimum often receive the same (or better) rewards as those who genuinely care, especially if they have the right connections. Poor delivery culture: Roadmaps are mostly performative—lots of talk, minimal follow-through. It's common to see people feign enthusiasm in meetings, only to disengage until bonus season, then move on. Contractor chaos: Many contractors deliver subpar work, slowing teams down and affecting quality—but that’s just one part of a much bigger problem. Bottom line: If you're looking for a stress-free “retirement job” with low expectations and even lower pay, this might suit you. But if you're ambitious or care about doing meaningful work, look elsewhere.
