Pros

If you are new in the market and recently starting over your professional career its good place to start and learn because you are on your own to do anything and hierarchy nobody will get your back if anything happens. So you learn to survive on your own which gives you very good self learning and solution oriented skills in a mid term.

Cons

10 years of working experience in BNP Paribas i definitely not recommend anybody with +4 years experience. There is a layer of management where you cant even get close to. As an employer value you are nobody but number for them. After 5 years your director doesn't even know your name. When you have issues with your leader or teammates nobody wants to resolve it. Managers always gives rights to everybody just to avoid complains. Sometimes suddenly some manager thinks you are not right choose for the position because of some personal commentary (for example about football).

Pros

Good cafetaria and convenient to public transportation

Cons

They are racist and apply different standards depending on your race. As a manager, I followed the example of other managers who used to send emails and scheduled meetings even after work hours, but when I sent emails after work hours, I was disciplined for it. Even though the bank's official language is supposed to be English, pretty much all management trainings are offered only in Spanish, and this impacts our ability to understand policies. The bank's policy is to assign a buddy to guide new employees and help them settle in, but from what I saw in my case and other cases, this was not followed. This is NOT a good place to work if you can't speak Spanish. When I reported my doubts about a senior manager committing procurement fraud, my warning was ignored even though I've been a fraud examiner for over 20 years.

Pros

You can learn a lot. If you are well connected you can be a chaos and be useless and still have big money.

Cons

Average salary is worst than competence. In some locations and teams, middle management is a drama. Career path is not clear, you must fight for it. Office politics degree needed to be able to mentally survive among all the gaslight of some middle managers.
