Pros

Benefits are great. People are great. Managment cares. Opportunity to recieve all Investment and Insurance licenses. Tuition Reimbursment. HR department is VERY good. 2 weeks paid vacation and 11 paid holidays. Flexible work schedule and great hours of operation. Work stays at the office. Family life is important to BBVA Compass values. 2% raise every year. 401k match up to 4%.

Cons

Overwhelming goals. Training is sub-par. Mundane job tasks. Low starting salary. Inefficient and unreliable software system. Tough to advance within the company. No motivation to advance in company because you are entered into the new position at the lowest pay range and outside recruits are brought in much higher.

Pros

This really is hard. I've held front and back office positions and was successful in both. Upper Management is clueless to the realities of how business operates now. It's like an ivory tower situation where they all talk about how great they are, while branch employees are getting ripped to shreds and back office employees get worked to death. This would be a great company if the entire culture changed.

Cons

Too numerous to list. They don't care about "talent" and are too stupid to know that they have gifted people right in front of them. Potential doesn't matter, only experience. The pay is well below industry average. I've performed better than most for all of my annual reviews and the best raise I've ever gotten was $900. It doesn't even keep up with inflation.

Pros

Work Life balance is pretty good. Tuition reimbursement. Benefits are great even for part time employees. Sales goals are extremely easy to meet each quarter.

Cons

There is no room to advance. Employee turnover is very high, most branches in our district are short at least 2 employees. Our banking systems are definitely not up to date . Don't even get me started with the training modules..
