Pros

You will learn alot a BBVA Compass. There are plenty of opportunities to learn about different areas of the company and there is a lot of information that an employee has accesss to for self learning and self development. In addition, Executive Level Management does an excellent job of communicating the Company's vision and the goals that need to be met to achieve that vision. They also do a phenomenal job of communicating how an employee will be measured against those goals.

Cons

BBVA Compass corporate is a very fast paced environment that is constantly in the state of change. The company is full of opportunity, but you have to be a person that likes constant change, can be ok with a lot of "no"s before getting that "yes" , have to have serious stamina and tough skin. While the company does support work/life balance, there will be challenges with balancing the two if you want to be successful and advance. In addition, the company does not have a great way of helping employees develop professionally or personally outside of "self help". An employee working at BBVA in the Corporate offices will have to own his/her professional development or they will be very dissatisfied with their growth serving at this company.

Pros

Knowledgable middle management. Recently invested a lot of money in technology and new systems for the commercial side of the bank.

Cons

Not a very good work / life balance. Middle managment just wants you to do the work and doesn't care about getting to know you as a person.

Pros

Great benefits package as far as health care, 401k, etc. And perfect if you are looking for advancement.

Cons

Pay is below average for most positions. And every year it seems like pay raises are around .5 - 1% increase.
