Maybe in Germany

Pros

Good salary. Good benefits. Good communication about company performance. They are moving all business to Asia. During 2023-2024 period they fired more than 3000 employees.

Cons

Maybe in Germany they might take care of the employees, but not in the rest of the countries. I had 5 interviews throughout 5 months, and lot of documentation coming and going. Also had been told by a manager that BASF wants people that will stay in BASF. But, at the end, during the 6 months probation period, they told me they won't renew the contract. Only HR people talked to me. They are hiring asian people because they are cheaper.

Pros

You get paid, that’s it.

Cons

Office on the outskirts of Madrid Hybrid model after years of WFH Ancient tools, legacy stuff everywhere “It has always been done this way” mentality Lots of corporate politics Lack of clear communication of upcoming changes from local management Salary increases are below inflation Zero talent retention policies, yet another “meat grinder”
