Pros

Supports diversity, innovative and creative ideas, work-life balance (allows work from home a couple days per week). Salary is highly competitive and because the company is a well-rounded diversified business, it continues to outperform and grow in the markets/industries they serve. Strong, long-term company stability. Benefits are excellent. Many employees have stayed with the company for their entire careers, high amount of PhDs, MBAs and graduate degrees among young employees.

Cons

Very large company and like all companies of this size has difficulties with bureaucracy and quick decisions/responses. Silos exist and breaking down barriers to cross-BU collaboration is slow.

Good salary and benefits there.

Cons

Run by chemist and engineers; not a lot of thinking outside the box when it comes to managing people. Also the worst HR department in the universe. Managers call it the R department because they didn’t feel there were any humans in there.
