Management would rather take a chance on a lesser qualified person than promote a person who has already proven themselves in the same position. Many times different schedule surveys have been taken and no matter the results, managments still forces their schedule for employees to work while they still keep their comfy Mon. thru Fri. day shift. Employees home life is no concern of management. Instead of training able bodied employees you may be forced to work extra hours to keep the plant running. Hot and unbearable temps in the summer months, and management has no idea of what goes on outside their air conditioned offices. Most days in the summer they will not even come out of the air conditioned areas of the plant to tend to problems on the floor.
