      Good company to work for...somewhat bureaucratic

      Pros

      Excellent pay, good benefits, great manager, generally no expectation to work more than 40 hours a week. Hybrid schedule available for many positions, a minority are 100% on-site and a small minority are 100% remote. Avangrid prioritizes work-life balance and the company culture is professional, though it has gotten more top-down bureaucratic over the years I've been there (13 years). Overall I enjoy working here.

      Cons

      Can be stressful depending on role (my experience is in trading). 24/7 rotating shift schedule including nights can be grueling and not accommodating of reasonable work-life balance but non-shift workers seem to have good work-life balance. Corporate culture is largely dictated by parent company in Spain...most C-levels are Spanish folks who may or may not understand American workplace culture. Generally in the day-to-day these are relatively minor issues.

      Terrible experience

      Pros

      Decent benefits and good amount of time off (if you can use it).

      Cons

      The workload was way too much. People left and were not replaced, leaving me to work multiple jobs.
