Depth of technical knowledge and experience of retained employees, still better-than-average corporate culture sincerely emphasizing continuous improvement and ethical behavior, new initiatives to maintain quality and technical edge, management priorities are conservative yet growth-oriented, opportunities for global assignments

Cons

Check-in-the-box mentality has been an unpleasant side effect of global standardization, no formal mentorship program or recognition of the benefits of one, somewhat alarming recent increase in turnover mostly among promising younger and mid-career employees, relatively flat structure can make lateral moves enticing, but limit opportunities for upward movement, quest to become a "global company" is straining the culture that once made the company great

Pros

Great quality upper management, project managers, supervisors and engineers. Engineers were recognized & compensated for their contributions. Great team feel in most departments I encountered.

Cons

Benefits started to get more expensive -- went from leading the industry with the best benefits [to attract top employees] to matching the competition. Some elitist was divisive.

They are very open to implementing changes. The people are motivated to work together as a strong team. Leadership has very strong experience in this field.

Cons

Sometimes customers can be demanding, and you need to go above and beyond what you would normally do in order to keep them happy.
