      Pros

      Some great people, a commitment to improve the culture from the new CEO and his team. Autodesk products are amazing. Work hours are long but can be flexible. Occasionally able to see what you want to fix and go fix it.

      Cons

      Really behind in tech. Silos and highly politicized environment make it hard to move the tech forward. Lots of people think they are experts in their field but do not have current market experience, are unaware of current best practices and have been at Autodesk for 10+ years and think tenure = skill. Extremely hard to get promoted since the promotion pipeline is politicized. Salaries/comp is below market, Has a difficult culture unfriendly to minorities.

      smart employees, interesting technology and projects, stable company, changing exec management over last year, great benefits and good work/life balance

      Cons

      not great in innovation, does not reward risk-taking, not a meritocracy, changing exec management over last year, hard work is not rewarded

      Pros

      - Great health plan and other fringe benefits in the US. Almost like an internet company. - Flexible work schedules and locations (working from home and remotely is common practice) - Reasonable work hours

      Cons

      - No advancement opportunities - Very political within the Media and Entertainment division - Hubris of a large company - Lack of desire or inability to deal with horrible people in positions of power
