Pros

Reasonable compensation, though not competitive for a senior role Nice people in the office Large company with established processes

Cons

Significant mismatch between the role described during interviews and the actual day-to-day work Reporting structure and scope changed immediately after joining Limited willingness to acknowledge or correct role misalignment once raised I joined Autodesk after interviewing for a senior cloud / infrastructure-focused engineering role. Shortly after starting, both the reporting structure and the nature of the work changed from what was described during the interview process. In practice, the role functioned as Level 1 operational support rather than senior engineering work. This was not a temporary transition, and there was no clear path for the role to evolve into what was originally presented. Concerns raised about this mismatch were not meaningfully addressed. This experience may not apply to every team, but candidates interviewing for senior technical roles should ask very direct questions about: the exact day-to-day responsibilities how much of the role is operational support whether the reporting structure is stable

Pros

None I can actually think off. The benefits are not that great as they highly taxed.

Cons

Their core values of being a "trusted partner" is a joke. They deliberately lie to their customers on a regular basis. They have zero integrity. They love hiding behind their Terms of Use. Which allows them to say one thing to customers and do another. As a result the customer has no come back. Lying to customers about the the future viability of some products such as ICMLive and IWLive. Those products are dead in reality. Constant changing of the goal post to their customers and treating them with contempt. For example their cloud simulation technology feature that us available in InfoWorks ICM & InfoWorks WS Pro and InfoWater Pro. Were sold as as unlimited simulatanous usage. However in reality there was a hard cap of 40,000 simulation minutesn (or 667 hours). However this has been reduced to 100 hours and 50 hours. Unless you are a lucky few who managed to get an exemption such as Scottish Water, Acardis and Aecom.
