Pros

Global company in a growing and interesting industry with a great product line and growth opportunities. There is a lot to learn and experience. If you get in to the right group with good manager or VP it is a great place to work. The flexible work environment, work-life balance (although this aspect has been fading in recent years), and support for family time are really great. Employee training and focus on developing skills is also a great reason to work at Autodesk.

Cons

Limited opportunities for advancement with promotions very dependent on the group you are in. If you have the good fortune to be in a group that is not crowded you have a greater chance to being promoted then in larger groups. This has more impact on your prospects then if you are qualified and have a great track record. Usually the best strategy is to move teams but this can be tricky. The internal politics around products and revenue associated with products is a little tired it feels like you are in competition with other divisions more then with other competitors. Layoffs, restructuring, and "doing more with less" are taxing employee morale and turning Autodesk into just another place to work and not something special.

Pros

Great company to work for. Large, great pay. You can find plenty of opportunity in this company. You will be able to work with your work schedule. If you need to work form home or move, there may be a time when you need to request more flexibility to accommodate life changing events that you are going through. They may be able to work with you on this.

Cons

Very large company, very big, some times to big.

Pros

Interesting products, always great to work for a market leader with cash in the bank. Some very smart people with some great ideas.

Cons

Every year there seems to be less innovation and less willingness to take risks. I have strong concerns that we are too content as the market leaders, and that our lack of innovation will allow us to be overtaken by smaller, hungrier competitors. We try to buy innovation through acquisition of smaller companies, but this strategy does not seem to work. Working in the main corporate office you have to work alongside a lot of people who have been there for a very long time (15+ years) who think that they own the company. It's hard to drive change with these people.
