Pros

It's definitely one of the best companies to have in your portfolio, and there's are benefits such as medical benefits (not so impressive), work from home opportunities, flexibility in working hours. But all of these comes with a price. 😉

Cons

Cons are pretty obvious for this company, it lacks in proper project and team management in Singapore. For instance, you could see tons of silos being created within the company doing various different stuffs or the same stuffs in various methods. Why so much of difference? Second, work is never ending with back to back meetings. And in most cases, the meetings are redundant and unnecessary causing tons of time taken of the actual work done. Lastly, be prepared to take on extra work which isn't yours just to please the management. 😉

Pros

Great benefits. Nice "off-site" meetings, nice parties. They spend $$$ on these.

Cons

They layoff ~10% of their workforce each year (which is what happened to me after 10 years on the job). Reporting out, every week, on your progress. Some of the departments do this monthly. Few report out quarterly. You are reporting on your progress con.stant.ly. It's a time sucker. Speaking of suckers, middle managers suck up with no shame to their upper management. It's disgusting.

Pros

Some great people, a commitment to improve the culture from the new CEO and his team. Autodesk products are amazing. Work hours are long but can be flexible. Occasionally able to see what you want to fix and go fix it.

Cons

Really behind in tech. Silos and highly politicized environment make it hard to move the tech forward. Lots of people think they are experts in their field but do not have current market experience, are unaware of current best practices and have been at Autodesk for 10+ years and think tenure = skill. Extremely hard to get promoted since the promotion pipeline is politicized. Salaries/comp is below market, Has a difficult culture unfriendly to minorities.
