Pros

Pay Bonus Stock Vacation starts at 3 weeks Surplus holidays off including 2 days for July 4th and 1 week for Christmas

Cons

My experience at AstraZeneca was marked by a deeply toxic management style. Leadership fostered an environment where favoritism, retaliation, and gaslighting were normalized. Concerns raised through proper channels were either ignored or met with subtle forms of punishment. There were instances where treatment of employees appeared to cross legal and ethical boundaries, particularly regarding workplace harassment and accommodation practices. Despite publicly championing innovation and technological advancement, the internal culture stifled creativity and open dialogue. Fear and control often took precedence over collaboration, and constructive feedback was routinely dismissed or met with resistance. Mental Health Impact: The stress and manipulation had a lasting effect on my well-being, leading me to seek therapy and legal advice. Advice to Others: I strongly advise future employees to document everything, understand their rights, and approach with caution.

Pros

Company is generally well regarded in the scientific community which should help pursue other career opportunities when you inevitably want to leave AZ.

Cons

Very hierarchical with horrible leadership. Culture and morale have been bad for years and leadership refuses to take accountability let alone make real efforts to improve beyond lip service

Pros

Reasonable pay and financial benefits given.

Cons

The in-office policy is prehistoric. Staff treated like immature children with the tracking of attendance and threats of "financial consequences" (bonus) for not achieving the minimum 60% in office targets.
