Still hanging on to great Cambridge culture and team spirit (just)

Quality of the people and the science is generally very high. Innovation is encouraged and evident in the Research teams I mostly interact with. Really strong teamwork ethic, which makes the site a very friendly and sociable place to be.

Cons

Recent budgetary cuts and falling headcount has reduced morale - particularly at bench scientist level. Salaries based on UK average for each job description so not very competitive.

People are dedicated, motivated and intelligent. Employee compensation is very good.

Cons

Company has no R&D to speak of with limited prospects near term. Financials are driving re-organizations across the company. Talented folks are being let go. IT innovation is starting to develop but that will take a few more years.
