Pros

Passionate people who care about healthcare. New direction to drive better medicines through innovations. Bringing in a lot of new people and new skills.

Cons

Matrix organisation, and lots of change. Lots of TLAs (three letter acronyms). Obviously the patent cliff is coming but they have an external focus now.

AstraZeneca cares a lot about keeping their employees happy. They allow you to be flexible as long as you can still meet the company's goals and execution guidelines. There is a lot if growth opportunity if you are willing to work hard and re- locate. There employ a lot of smart people so you can learn a ton.

Cons

There are not a lot of growth opportunities if you are not willing to re-locate or happen to live close to DE. The workload can get very heavy very heavy at times.
