Being part of a small agile company yet part of a large giant called Cisco Sales are surrounded with supporting teams that are aligned to the same target Great place to learn a world class sales process Has become more customer centric than before and shed away the reputation of start-ups approach of hit and run.

A bit behind on the product roadmap Cisco can at times be a bit of a distraction

Good salary for someone inexperienced with potential. Sharp and super-driven colleagues all around you. Market leader - although competitive with New Relic and Dynatrace in some situations at that time. World class sales methodology and leadership. Highly respected experience in all interviews since. Promoted females in the organisation and occasionally racially marginalised people, also neurodiverse people in the technical roles.

Cons

High turnover of employees in this position - whilst I was there for only a year, over 10 people were fired or left, with only 1 lasting longer than I did and progressing their career there (this person had taken a backwards step to get into the role to begin with). Low psychological safety - not sure if this concept would be on their radar now. Travelling to Bracknell on Monday, often waking up at 4:30 in central london to arrive for 7:00 was ridiculous - I wonder what’s changed since the welcomed transition to remote working. Couldn’t serve verticals like healthcare and life sciences well with their solutions. No focus on D&I when it came to race, LGBTIQ+ or class.
