Pros

Some people were nice to work with

Cons

Poor work life balance. I was spending my entire day working here only to be paid such a low wage. No team events or networking opportunities, honestly didn't feel like I was part of anything at this firm. I literally came in everyday, worked tirelessly and left which was mundane to say the least. Health care coverage was nothing to rave about, benefits package was meh. Just cheap, cheap, cheap all around.

Pros

Im leaving soon to work for a competitor. People in none sales groups are friendly and collaborative. They have a big name but some buyers didn’t respect the brand of Aon.

Cons

Terrible on-boarding process. No formal training. You are sat at a desk and you start calling. To have sales success at Aon it won’t be based on your talent or skill set. You will have to play the political games internally and be willing to back stab internal colleagues. The hardest thing about selling for this company isn’t acquiring new customers it’s the politics and the lack of leadership to help navigate the internal matrix. If you CAN sell and have a rolodex of contacts stay away from Aon. If you CAN’T sell and have little to no talent but can play the political game you’ll have a better chance at success. Talent and skill set isn’t what wins at Aon. You have to play the political game.

Pros

Colleagues were amazing, everyone works hard and is super kind. Good pay, good vacation time.

Cons

Some issues with innovation and adapting to the changing workforce. Some employees are overworked, and the history of mergers and acquisitions meant different ideals and priorities from different legacy people within the company.
