      One gets to work with very talented engineers. Work-life balance is good. Good 401K match. A very good company to 'start' your career.

      Cons

      Career progression is almost nonexistent unless you are the chosen few. Tends to be rather political. Salary is well below industry levels.

      Great technology, innovative engineers and challenging projects. If you wan to learn the very best IC development skills, this is your best option in NC.

      Cons

      Semi competitive landscape has changed the industry, and while the company has adapted very well to the changes, in order to remain profitable there is much less focus on R&D and forward looking innovation, and more focus on the bottom line. Tends to make the corporate environment much less pleasant....more meetings, less work. Scramble for work on the best projects, etc. Still plenty of opportunity for individuals.

      Micro management, No fun at all. Only work, no play.. Gets boring at times. Bad work life balance in some of the teams.
