Pros

Good Bonuses when business is going well, plenty of internal job opportunities with a variety of roles, global company with decent prospects for travel, loads of good people to work with, generally the culture is good and not too overworked.

Cons

You have to fight for every penny in every pay increase, in recent years they've bought 3 decent sized companies which is diluting the importance of the Limerick site and the culture of the company, a once family friendly and innovative company has just gone completely corporate now, slowly but surely all employee benefits are being eroded i.e. the pension plan went from defined benefit to defined contribution a few years ago, there was a service award scheme that sneakily almost got completely scrapped until the employees found out and fought back - it's been greatly reduced so instead of €500 shared for every 5 years of service you only get €200 for every 5 year milestone, the bonus scheme is based as a percentage of the profit that the employees have worked hard to generate yet it is constantly being revised as we do better as a company to give the employees less of a percentage, during covid when our financials looked better than usual our salary increase (which was already told to some people) was postponed from April until September, and just before the postponement was lifted a number of people were made redundant. Yearly redundancies are getting to be the norm especially since we bought more companies and yet these are not transparent at all - I have worked in other companies where redundancies were announced publicly yet in ADI you hear about them through whispers after they happen. Other benefits like company cars for managers and company phones for those who travel a lot are also being silently eradicated. To move up or get what you are worth there is just a sense that you have to leave the company and come back to move up, this ethos along with the reduced benefits for those who remain loyal to the company make it tough to see any long term future at ADI for graduates or lower level employees.

Pros

Good benefits, work life balance, nice company 401k autocontribution. Interesting products

Cons

Really poor compensation compared to the going market rate. They throw these bonuses at you like a carrot on a stick but the goal posts are always moving and base compensation is lack luster. No opportunity for growth long term They try to promote diversity and inclusion but it's a pipe dream. They give us Juneteenth off but not MLK (MAKES NO SENSE)
