Pros

There are very smart engineers working on countless innovations in the semiconductor industry. The company encourages the sharing of ideas across global lines. Significant amounts of revenue are re-invested into R&D.

Cons

Often profit and the bottom line comes before the valuation of their employees' tenure, current business relationships, and future contributions. The company seems to be having trouble achieving consistent success around operational efficiencies in an increasingly competitive industry.

Pros

90% of people are great, very professional and smart. Good products. Decent benefits. Good work-life balance. Decent pay. Open to career moves within the company.

Cons

Management seems to have no clear direction. Bad managers and low performers are not dealt with. Too much politics often gets in the way of successful product releases. Poor or no communication between upper management and the rest of the company, even amongst themselves.

Pros

The work environment is just perfect. Work is definitely busy daily but not overwhelmingly stressful. As an engineer, you may still find a balance between work and life, and this is definitely not the case in many of the engineering/high-tech firms. Engineers at Analog Devices know their shits inside out and they always stay on top of their game. They are very focused people and nice as well. There always will be people happy to assist whenever you need help.

Cons

I really cannot think of any downsides. One thing about the location is that Greensboro is not a terribly exciting place to live and there isn't much to do. But I guess there isn't anything that Analog Devices can do about it, is there?
