      23 year career from File Clerk to Global Risk Management Analyst

      Pros

      It was a challenging and interesting environment in which I learned about product life cycles, management information systems, global risk management and process analysis and improvement while working with colleagues in Finance, Security, Compliance, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales and Technology.

      Cons

      Still reacting to the financial crisis of the past by discounting and laying off experienced employees in the name of cost savings. The usual frustrations of working in a giant bureaucracy. A very conservative company that follows trends rather than innovating and leading.

      Pros

      Employees can get promoted at any time during the year. Most employees have the flexibility to work from home. Most employees seem to be happy and stay with the company for a while. It's encouranged to move around in the company. Overall the benefits are good.

      Cons

      There seem to be so many promotion levels so it takes a longer time to get to the top. The company goes by a pay scale for each level so there is a minimum and maximum pay. Depending on your group, if you are already at the maximum you might not get a pay raise.
