Pros

- High level of independence and freedom, ability to make an impact - Competitive salary - Room for growth and clear plan to advance career

Cons

- Team culture and work-life balance extremely team dependent, often on the bad side - Low level of cooperation between teams. Often feels like many meetings and alignments are needed to get support from other teams. - High oncall and operational load, week-long oncall shifts and expected 2-3 nights a week to be woken up in the middle of the night. Putting out fires takes time away from interesting work. - Very poor benefits compared to competitors (no free food/snacks, very poor 401k match, etc.)
