Pros

AWS does a great job keeping teams involved. There are always new projects to work on and it is easy to reach out to other Amazonians and get help.

Cons

Lots of employees work from home which is expected. As an intern I wish I could have seen more people face to face, but it was still good being able to video chat with others.

Pros

* Extensive guided cultural onboarding and training process * Friendly teammates * Shared drive among employees * Good compensation, if you stay long enough * Lots of future career opportunities at Amazon

Cons

* RSUs don't really vest for a long time. They make up for this with large cash sign-on payments, but I might rather have the stock. * Training is a lot. * It's Amazon, so you may need to set aside your altruism to deal with it.
