Cons

- Oncall rotation can be ridiculous and super stressful (based on team placement) - Layoffs are unpredictable so job security could be better - Pretty noticeable social hierarchy based on position coupled with recognition/ visibility driven managers means you can be kind of bossed around for no good reason other than "leadership principles" (such as "be right, a lot", lol)
