Pros

The culture at Amazon is amazing. I've never known a company so focused on doing the right thing for the customer as Amazon. Amazon seems to hire with a strong onus towards ownership, which ensures its employees never say "that's not my job." Amazon's environment promotes innovation and fosters creativity with a culture that embraces failure and learns from it.

Cons

Strong Ownership can lead to teams taking on more work than they can handle, leading to pressure to perform and over-work. This means it's imperative to know when to say "No."

Pros

Lots of smart people. Good pay, able to work on big projects.

Cons

As amazon company gets from big to huge, the established businesses, mainly .com, value less and less on performance and results, but more on office politics and favoritism of management. So don’t get expect promoted from good work alone. U have to play games heavily that doesn’t add value to the company. So if u have good social skills and willing to suck up who u reporting to, come and join the company. U will do well by riding the past success of Jeff Bezos and fellow coworkers.
