Pros

Great culture. People are pretty chill and there is always something new to learn. You can bring your dogs to work, free beer in some locations and overall management is hands off unless you screw up.

Cons

Work life balance is always a challenge. Internal tools are behind industry standards. Consistently changing. Leadership principals often contradict each other. Amazon is very technical and the hiring bar is high (maybe not as high as MSFT or GOOG), and finding people with the specific skill set the company requires can be very hard.
