Pros

Rapidly-growing company that's willing to try new methods and ideas. They encourage creativity, individuality, and moving to different teams to learn new things. Fun, exciting industry. Stock options and employee discount.

Cons

Teams are frequently under-staffed for the workload. Management doesn't listen to employees. Tribal knowledge / lack of documentation are frustrating. "Do your own thing" means inconsistent standards.

Pros

Lot to learn. Great culture and startup like work environment along with benefits of a big company.

Cons

Too hectic and unrealistic expectations. Life will be stressful at times. In fact, I started gaining weight and losing hair after joining Amazon! Initiatives are mostly driven by business needs. Compromises are made at technical values to cater business needs. Work Hard, Harder and probably make history if you are lucky. No fun!
