Pros

I work for AWS. You will work with incredibly smart people Opportunities to work globally Relocation globally is fairly easy If joined 3+ years ago you'll be happy with your vesting stock

Cons

You will be working on a 'burning priority' project and quickly find 3 other teams all working on their own version. My role expanded so we split into 2 management roles. The person hired to take on 50% of my role told me his compensation. It was 75% higher than mine. Management will not explain how they came to this decision. If changing roles and hired into a role advertised as a job level above your current level you will not be levelled up and salary will remain the same. Annual review process has been changed and sucks. Colleagues get approx 50 words to describe your 'superpower'. Feedback offers no deep actionable feedback.

Pros

Great pay, high visibility projects, record breaking speed, you'll never work for a company that has its hands in so many different areas, flexibility to move around and try new things

Cons

Zero work/life balance, lack of thoughtful leaders, zero support structure for mid-level managers, growth and development is based on your ability to own it
